Twentieth-century armorial bookplate showing Vane-Tempest-Stewart arms marshalled with Chaplin, motto "Metuenda corolla draconis, with two supporters, all underneath a marquess's coronet with helmet and griffin passant crest, flanked by two badges, lettered in banner "Charles Stewart Henry Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 7th Marquess of Londonderry KG"[i.e. Charles Vane-Tempest-Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh, 7th Marquess of Londonderry from 1915 (1878-1949)]. Binding: Twentieth-century full brown calf, gilt and blind fillet forming a border. Gilt dentelle on inside boards. Five false raised bands, gilt tooled on spine. Brown and green leather spine labels, lettered in gilt. Gilt-top. Ticket on lower pastedown "W. Erskine Mayne, 3 Donegall Sq. W. Belfast".
