Newcastle-under-Lyme, Jany. 1927" [i.e. presented to the author of the work, Edith Helen Chaplin (1879-1959), m. in 1899 Charles Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 7th Marquess of Londonderry from 1915, by the bookbinder and bookseller George Thomas Bagguley (b.1860) of Newcastle-under-Lyme]. Binding: Twentieth-century full grained red morocco, gilt tooled on covers and spine, Five false raised bands; lettered direct in gilt on spine. Gilt board and text-block edges. Binder's stamp on upper turn-in "Bagguley, Newcastle-under-Lyme". In cream cloth covered protective case with pink silk ribbon fragments inside.
