D.B.E." . Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]) [i.e. Edith Helen Chaplin, m. in 1899 Charles Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 7th Marquess of Londonderry from 1915]. Binding: Twentieth-century half mottled calf on marbled paper over boards. Green leather spine labels, lettered in gilt. Gilt-top. Binder's stamp on verso flyleaf "Bagguley, Newcastle-under-Lyme".
