Vol. for 1898 contains a loosely inserted photograph; vols for 1898 and 1904 contain loosely inserted newspaper cuttings. Vols. for 1902 and 1904 have a Mudie's select library label on upper cover. Provenance: Nearly all vols. inscribed by Richard Fynderne Harpur Crewe (1880-1921), son of Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe, 10th Bt, and Isabel Adderley. Binding: Nineteenth- and twentieth-century publisher's navy cloth Vol. for 1897 is half blue morocco on marbled paper.
