Provenance: nineteenth-century crest bookplate, after 1831, with earl’s coronet: Lichfield [i.e. Thomas William Anson, 2nd Viscount Anson, created Earl of Lichfield, 1831 (1795-1854); and also used by subsequent earls]. Binding: nineteenth-century green calf; double gilt fillet and blind roll border; five false bands; gilt spines, board edges and turn-ins; spine stamped with Lichfield cypher and earl's coronet in gold. Stamped: Bound by Hayday & Co. (Uniform with others in set of political speeches; whole set in poor condition.)
