Printed ticket on front pastedown: 'W. Withers, Holt' [presumably a binder's ticket, but no-one of that name listed in BBTI]. Binding: nineteenth-century full gold-tooled calf; sewn onto three supports; four raised bands on spine; elaborate gilt panel framework of thick and thin fillets, the panels filled with repeated decorative stamps; gilt roll pattern and small stamps at spine-end and corners of board edges; gilt fillet and stamps on turn-ins; gold-tooled spine with stamp and roll decoration. Marbled textblock edges and endpapers.
