216, [52] p. ; 4to. Running number: 7274. Water-staining at foot of leaves throughout. Provenance: manuscript nineteenth-century former shelfmark on front pastedown: "18.E.25". Manuscript inscriptions in different hands on title page: [1] "Jbus du Poirier Turonensis=Ambacianus doct. med. Turonis 1683" [i.e. the French physician, Hellenist and bibliophile Jacques Poirier de la Ramée (d. 1718); born at Amboise, qualified at Montpellier 1679 or 1680, practised at Tours and became court physician to Louis XV, died at Paris in 1718. His library was sold in London in 1727]; [2] "Franc. Sizaeus Sante ... [flourish]" [i.e. Franciscus Sizaeus]. Binding: nineteenth-century quarter-bound tan calf with plain vellum over boards; spine has gilt fillet tooling, date, and gilt title on green morocco label.
