Boyle" (1819); and "Lukin" (1822) [i.e. Vice-Admiral William Lukin, later Windham, (1768-1833)]. Capital letter "R" written in pencil on front free endpapers in all vols. Manuscript annotations to lists of admirals, vice-admirals and rear-admirals in all vols. Manuscript note: "Gazette 12th Aug 1819" on t.p. verso of 1819 vol. Calculations on rear endpaper and pastedown of 1819 vol. "J6" written on rear pastedown or rear free endpaper in all vols. Binding: nineteenth-century half sprinkled calf, marbled paper over boards; gilt fillets on spines; red spine labels: 'Sea officers' and date; sprinkled edges.
