Provenance: manuscript initial "M." on front free endpaper has been totally eaten by insects. This was the catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742), and its original presence is indicated by Mitchell's code "ε'." [i.e. epsilon' = Greek number 5] at the foot of the leaf . Various manuscript numbers on front endpapers: "46", "39" (crossed out), "108" and "218". Manuscript number in pencil on rear pastedown: "38". Binding: sixteenth-century gold-tooled full calf (front board loose); sewn onto five cords; single gilt fillet border; gilt oval centrepiece stamp; single blind fillet along board edges; gold-tooled spine with fillet panels containing multiple fleur-de-lys stamps and a single floral stamp, one panel with gilt title 'Olympiae Fulviae' lettered directly onto spine. Manuscript title "olimpiae fuluiae" on foot of fore-edge of textblock.
