Provenance: nineteenth-century Anson bookplate with motto ‘Nil desperandum’ and Viscount’s coronet (though seven pearls visible) [i.e. Thomas George Anson, 2nd Earl of Lichfield (1825-1892)]. Binding: nineteenth-century half green calf, with marbled paper on boards; gold tooled spine, gold lettered red spine labels.
