Provenance: capital letter "R" written in pencil on verso of rear free endpaper of vols. I and III and on recto of front free endpaper of vol. II. Manuscript annotations throughout all vols., possibly in the hand of Leonard Whibley, as if revising the text for a subsequent edition.
