Also, a loosely inserted small newspaper cutting [in two parts](dated in ms. "Ap. 4 07") in which Sandow gives his opinion on dieting. On final advertisement leaf: folded handwritten note, taped to leaf, with notes on muscles and their general use. Provenance: Inscribed on upper pastedown: "R.F.H. Crewe 1903" [i.e. Richard Fynderne Harpur Crewe (1880-1921), son of Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe, 10th Bt, and Isabel Adderley]. Binding: Twentieth-century red pictorial cloth, black lettering on upper cover and spine. Publisher's advertisement pasted-in on upper pastedown.
