Binding: Nineteenth-century full sprinkled calf with unsprinkled silhouettes of leaves and flower heads; single gilt fillet forming a border, gilt-tooled board edges. Sewn on recessed cords, gilt-tooled spine. Black leather spine label, lettered in gilt: "Thornton's sporting tour in France". Marbled endpapers. Text-block edges dyed red.
