Provenance: Inscribed on upper pastedown: "Philip Yorke Dec[em]ber 1861" [i.e. Philip Yorke II of Erddig (1849-1922), son of Simon Yorke III of Erddig and Victoria Mary Louisa Cust]. Binding: Nineteenth-century publisher's full textured purple cloth, blind and gilt embossed.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
