[i.e. Major Gen. Charles Ashe Windham (1810-1870)]. In faint pencil on titlepage "Lieutenant Windham" and on free endpaper a series of names in very faint pencil, including Lady E[?]; Mrs Barry and Mrs Windham. Binding: early nineteenth-century half calf sewn onto recessed boards; brown and blue marbled boards. Upper board detached. Black spine label, gold-lettered. Book shoe.
