Later inscription: "This book was the gift of his father to my oldest brother, on his 18th birthday, just after he had left Repton - and was given to me by his widow in 1923. Godfrey Mosley [i.e.Col. Godfrey Mosley (1863-1945), married Hilda Crewe]". Binding: Nineteenth-century red cloth, gilt and black embossed on spine, gilt edges. Currently covered in sewn cloth dust-jacket. Text-block crudely sewn into upper joint. Lower joint broken, and lower board detached. In phase box.
