Manuscript inscription on verso of second front fly-leaf: "Dulces ante omnia musae". Manuscript inscriptions on title page, all inked over and illegible erased except for: "Joannis Erpenij" [i.e. Johannes Erpenius (fl. 1624-1650), Dutch philologist and Hebraist]. Binding: seventeenth-century[?] limp vellum; off-white/yellowed paper over vellum wrapped around spine and onto front and rear covers as in a quarter binding; slots in fore-edges for two pairs of ties (missing).
