Summary
Ewbank carpet cleaner minus handle. Varnished wooden top decorated with gold disc with lion couchant above and crossed flags, Royal Standard on left, Union flag on right, above a crown, all above: BRITISH MANUFACTURE. Two sides printed: EWBANK / SUCCESS. One side has metal lever to empty dust collectors. Underside has four wheels, a roller with bristles centrally beween the two metal flaps forming the dust collectors. The rubber on the wheels is badly worn and distorted. Around the outside of the carpet sweeper is a length of cord, brown and white striped, with a rubber buffer at each corner. Attached to short sides with a hinged device is a metal frame, painted black, which meets at a central hole, threaded, to form a fixing for a handle. Two rubber buffers at the angles of the frame.
