Also a note in the hand of Anne Rosse [i.e. Anne, Countess of Rosse, née Messel (1902-1992)] on Nymans' National Trust headed paper "This is a very precious rare book which must come back to me - but full of rare interest - & you let me have the other book you borrowed back. But I am so thrilled that you love history." Binding: publisher's purple cloth; original dust jacket, slightly torn.
