Provenance: Inscribed on upper pastedown: "For Hilda Ethelfreda Crewe [i.e. Hilda Ethelfreda Crewe (1877-1949), eldest daughter of Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe, 10th Baronet, and Isabel Adderley] from her Aunt Ms[?] Lovell, Nov. 18th 1879".
