Pasted inscription in ink on inside front cover: `Testimonial of Very High Merit (Grade 20th) awarded to Adriano Murrieta (Aged 17) Bruce Castle, Midsummer 1860' [Julius Drewe of Castle Drogo acquired the library of the Murrietas; Bruce Castle school, Tottenham, run by family of Sir Rowland Hill]. Loose at p. 451 is photo, possibly of Murrieta. Binding: Full calf, with gold lettering on black spine label, and decorations; raised bands. Two gold fillets on front and rear. Marbled edges and endpapers.
