With an envelope, dated Jan 1946, laid in vol. 1 addressed to “Lord Courtauld Thomson The Manor Davies Street W.1.” [i.e. Courtauld Greenwood Courtauld-Thomson, 1st Baron Courtauld-Thomson CB, KBE (1865–1954)]. With a Christmas card laid in vol. 2 signed “John S. Ward ex-RCAF”. Bookseller’s ticket on lower pastedown “Times Book Club Wigmore Street W.1.” Binding: publisher’s maroon cloth.
