Binding: eighteenth-century calf; double and single blind fillet border; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spines, with Golden Fleece stamps, and gilt title and vol. number on morocco labels. Red polished edges. Marbled endpapers. The Golden Fleece stamp is found on books bound for Hilaire Bernard de Requeleyne, Baron de Longepierre (1659-1721). The stamp was also used on books bound for Martin Folkes (1690-1754) and George Baillie (1664-1738).
