230 leaves ; fol. Running number: 4727. Provenance: possibly acquired by Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) at the Uilenbroek sale, Amsterdam, in 1729 (lot 1300) for "8.0." (presumably Dutch gulden and stuivers). Manuscript inscription on verso of leaf a1, largely illegible: "Dor[?] don Pråe[?] Abaun za[?]". Manuscript flourish on recto of leaf a1 identical with flourish at end of inscription on the verso. With occasional manuscript marginal annotations and underscoring of text throughout. Binding: seventeenth-century polished calf; double gilt fillet border, with gilt cornerpiece stamps; gilt floral roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title. Red polished edges.
