Loose inside: Envelope addressed to 'Lady Wilkinson' but with her husband's notes on envelope, containing bill from Swansea grocer for bottle of 'Cambrian essence'. Provenance: Gardner Wilkinson Library. Signatures on half-title: 'Wilkinson' and on title-page: 'Gardner Wilkinson Brynfield House'. Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate: 'John Gardner Wilkinson Brynfield House.' [i.e. Sir John Gardner Wilkinson (1795-1875)]. Binding: Nineteenth-century publisher's full brown cloth, blind fillets forming a border; gilt lettering on front board and spine. Edges sprinkled red.
