Fletcher M.A. Verso of frontispiece inscribed: "Vita from Avilde with love December 1956" [i.e. Vita Sackville-West (1892-1962) from Alvilde Chaplin Lees-Milne (1909-1994)]. Binding: publisher's green cloth, elaborately decorated (ivy design) and lettered in green, gold and black.
