Provenance: nineteenth-century crest bookplate, after 1831, with earl’s coronet: Lichfield [i.e. Thomas William Anson, 2nd Viscount Anson, created Earl of Lichfield, 1831 (1795-1854); and also used by subsequent earls]. Binding: nineteenth-century half red calf, with marbled paper on boards; gold tooled spine; gold lettered red spine-label.
