Provenance: Inscribed on front endpaper verso with a verso from Dante's Paradiso, followed by: "To Miss Leiter [i.e. Mary Victoria Leiter, later Mary Curzon (1870-1906)] Xmas 91 Imperial [probably George Nathaniel Curzon, Marquess Curzon, 1st Viscount Scarsdale (1859-1925)]". Binding: Nineteenth-century quarter beige cloth with quarter gilt fillet on maroon cloth. Gilt ornamental centre piece on upper cover. Gilt tooling on spine, lettering in maroon.
