Provenance: endpaper inscribed "V.S-W. from K.H." [i.e. Vita Sackville-West (1892-1962) perhaps (wedding present) from Lady Kathleen Hastings, Maud Kathleen Cairnes Curzon-Herrick (1893-1965)]. Binding: twentieth-century full green calf; gilt fillet border, gilt tooled spine and turn-ins; five false bands; all edges gilt; gilt lettered on turn-in: J & E Bumpus Ltd 350 Oxford St.
