Further insertion removed from rear endpaper. Extensive text marking and annotation throughout. Provenance: bookplate: V S in two linked rings, with baron's coronet [i.e. Lady Victoria Sackville (1862-1936)]; accompanied by her decorated bookplate: A good book is the best of friends the same today and forever. One of the books of Victoria Sackville Knole Sevenoaks. Endpaper inscribed: To dear B.M. from BC[?] [i.e. to "Bonne Maman" (Lady Sackville) from unknown (Bonne Clare?)]. Binding: yellow publisher's cloth, lettered in black.
