Provenance: Inscribed in ink 'To Mrs Webber with love from Billy Straw January 1925' [i.e. William Straw junior (1898-1990)]. Binding: twentieth-century publisher's full red cloth; as issued. With amateur cover of folded brown paper, printed sections of dust jacket (or prospectus?) pasted onto upper board and spine.

Straw collection bequeathed contents of the house to The National Trust on the death in 1990 of William Straw.
