Hewlett is returning the inscribed book and commends Lady Sackville on her daughter's book on Knole. Provenance: decorated bookplate: A good book is the best of friends the same today and forever. One of the books of Victoria Sackville Knole Sevenoaks [i.e. Lady Victoria Sackville, 1862-1936]. Inscribed: To Lady Sackville / this little book is inscribed by / Maurice Hewlett. / 18 Jan. 1923.
