Binding: nineteenth-century full panelled green morocco; double gilt fillet to form a border; gilt cornerpieces (small flowers); sewn onto three recessed cords; five false bands; gilt decorated spine; red spine labels with gilt lettering: 'Walpole's letters to Mason' and volume number; gilt-rolled board edges; marbled endpapers; marbled edges.
