Marginal notes and underscoring of text, possibly by Hannibal Gamon (1582?-1651), Rector of St. Mawgan. Calling card loosely inserted at front, printed on one side 'Viscountess Clifden' [probably Mary Dickinson (1853-1921), wife of the 6th Viscount Clifden], and with manuscript notes (by W. H. Allnutt?) about the book on the other side. Binding: sixteenth-century calf; thin thick thin blind fillet border; panel of thin thick thin blind fillets, with gilt corenpiece stamps; blind centrepiece stamp. Pair of holes in boards for ties (missing). Rebacked in tan sheepskin. Gilt titles and place/date on spine.
