The favour of your vote and interest is earnestly solicited in behalf of Harry Arthur Marvin, aged 4 years ..." under which is written in a nineteenth-century hand: "... The orphan is the Grandson of a fine, good old Horse Artillery man ...". Pencil price 7/6. Provenance: Inscribed: "M.A.H. from W.G.H. July 7th 1928". In pencil: "Parke Estate". Binding: publisher's blue cloth.
