Laborde’s ‘Harrow School’ and how he might secure a copy. – (2) Typescript letter dated 30 Dec. 1941: Harrow School Register to Mr Mander seeking details of the career of his brother Lionel Henry Mander; (3): Typescript letter dated 26th October, 1942 from the Head Master (signed RWMoore) addressed to Sir Archibald Sinclair at the Air Ministry inviting him to speak at the School ‘to stimulate interest in the R.A.F. which is most marked in the school’ [noted that the letterhead includes the telephone number: Byron 2184]’ (4) Further typescript letter from the Head Master to Mr Mander dated 22nd March, 1943 in connection with his presence accompanying Sir Archibald to the school on Friday of this week [‘March 26th’], with some details of the arrangements – with some annotations; and loosely accompanying this a leaf giving ‘Lines written by Byron’ and a reference to a ‘slab’ referencing the Sinclair menfolk of the school in the 19th century
