Half-title inscribed: "Although I have not given you this book Victoria dear - I give my best wishes that you shall[?] be pleased with it. J.CW. [i.e. Lady (Jennie) Churchill, then married to George Cornwallis-West]. Binding: blue publisher's cloth, gold lettered.
