With label cuttings on red card background or bordered in red ink and occasional manuscript headings. Two cuttings are unattached. Leaves [41-42] are blank. Made by Edith (Edy) Craig for Vita Sackville-West. Title label is undersigned: VSW. Loosely inserted: loose leaf watercolour flower drawing, signed: Will 4/6/47. Attached to rear pastedown: envelope inscribed: "If you didn't know, this is what they wrote." Envelope contains sheet with manuscript answers to "Puzzle corner" section of scrapbook. Loosely inserted between leaves [18-19]: half-tone photograph of Vita Sackville-West and rear view of house, across garden (both 11 x 7 cm.); between leaves [13-14]: half-tone photograph of portrait, "Edy and George" / Clare Atwood '43". Provenance: manuscript letter inserted at rear, with printed heading: Priest's House, Smallhythe, Tenterden, Kent; manuscript date: 23rd December; commencing: "Dear Vita - (Dictated to Tony) / I am terribly sorry I haver not bee able to finish your scrapbook ..."; signed "Edy" [i.e. Edith Craig (1869-1947)]. Binding: green cloth, with manuscript title label on upper board.
