Manuscript: album of predominantly landscape water-colours and pencil sketches (heading in pencil on first leaf): 26 mounted, one or two per leaf, with manuscript labels in ink or pencil; 18 inserted loose, often with manuscript labels on reverse. Some mounts with labels have had drawings removed. Drawings are chiefly initialed and dated. The majority are by Sir George Crewe (1795-1844), a significant number are by Isabel Jane Crewe (1830-1909), and the earliest is attributed to Sir Henry Crewe (1763-1819). Binding: Nineteenth-century half red morocco, with marbled paper over boards; gilt roll and gilt tooled spine.
