Orientation: Vertical Text Substrate: Handmade wove paper Ink/Pigment: black printing ink with pencil annotations Type: BOUND BOOK Binding Type: Inboard binding, recessed supports & hollow Date of Binding: Contemporary Binder's Name: British End Leaves Sewn double-fold of thin wove paper, the first leaf cut away(?), the second pasted to the board Structure: Italian Edges: plain-cut with plough marks, not decorated, polished Spine Lining: slight round, square joints, artificial hollow back(?) - there is a strip or spine inlay of printed waste under the leather which is only pasted to the spine at the head and tail. End Bands: stuck-on folded length of red and white striped textile over a length of paper roll. Bookmark: None Boards: 3 mm paper couched laminate millboard, back-cornered Covering: stuck-on endbands Tooling Spine: divided in 5 panels by a gold-tooled roll between 2-line tools; titled direct in panels 2 and 4 with a large blind-tooled pen-scroll tool in panels 1, 3 and 5 Tooling Sides: Furniture: None Enclosure: None Binding Notes: Has had first-aid repairs at the head of the spine
