In ink on t-p 'Walter Snell' (= Walter Snell (d.1677) Chaplain to Lord Robartes at Lanhdyrock). In ink on title page, in ?sixteenth-century hand, obliterated in ink 'Thomas Br[...] Spes in Deo' and a price. In seventeenth-century hand in final endpaper 'John Tovy'. Binding: Sixteenth/seventeenth-century sheep. Double frame of blind-tooled filets on boards, and very worn centrepiece of unusual design, with ?a female saint inside an illegible inscription in gothic lettering. The whole resembling a seal. Wooden boards? Rebacked, with new endpapers and pastedowns, nineteenth century.
