Leaves Dd1,8 covered in mud, affecting text (perhaps damage from 1881 Lanhydrock fire).. Provenance: Title page covered in sixteenth-century schoolboy scribbles, including fragments of names, none decipherable.. Binding: Sewn on 3 tawed supports. Sixteenth-century ?sheep. With blind-tooled roll framing boards, with small centrepiece. Pulp boards. Holes on fore-edge from ties, with fragments of textile fibres still in holes. The whole badly disintegrated: sewing breaking down; boards soft. Spine repaired, nineteenth century. With single pair of ties on fore edge, through new pair of slits cut in boards - nineteenth century? Made of bright red worsted, twill-weave tape. Bookshoe.
