This may be Lady Caroline Curzon (1733-1812), nee Colyear, wife of 1st Baron Scarsdale or Mary Curzon (nee Assheton), Lady Curzon (1695-1776). Provenance: manuscript inscription on front flyleaf: "Caroline Curzon June the 28th 1756" [i.e. Lady Caroline Colyear (1733-1812), d. of 2nd Earl of Portmore, m. 1750 Sir Nathaniel Curzon (1726-1804), 1st Baron Scarsdale]. Binding: Eighteenth-century full mottled leather binding; triple gilt fillet and gilt tooled border; five raised bands; spine gilt decorated and spine label gilt lettered: "Chronological Collections".
