Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate in each volume with motto: "Gwna a ddylit doed a ddel", lettered: "E Libris Baron Merthyr of Senghenydd". manuscript inscription in each volume: "R S Meade 1964" (Robert Sidney Stuart Meade (1901-1971)).. Binding: Publisher's full blue cloth over boards; gilt fillets at head and foot of front covers; spines gilt lettered direct.
