Nineteenth century armorial bookplate, signed "CWS", lettered: "Rev. The Honble. Sidney Meade". Ink stamp: "Frankleigh House Library". Circular label with garter surround, lettered: "Denique coelum".. Binding: Nineteenth century full calf; triple gilt fillets to form a border; spine, edges and turn-ins gilt tooled; marbled edges to match endpapers.

Presented to the National Trust by Miss Daphne Meade in 1999, and formerly in the library of Sidney Meade (1839-1917), Canon of Salisbury Cathedral, of Thurland Castle, Lancashire.
