Clanwilliam from Miss Tufnell. Mar. 31. 1852." Additional manuscript annotation linked by cross to Miss Tufnell's name: "My mother's governess who brought up my mother (E. Clanwilliam) and her four sisters. S.M." (i.e. Sidney Meade?). Nineteenth century armorial bookplate (unsigned), lettered: "Rev. The Honble. Sidney Meade". Ink stamp: "Frankleigh House Library".. Binding: Nineteenth century half leather; plain paper over boards; gilt double fillets; gold tooling on spine.
