Ashton James [William Ashton James (1872-1949), Hon. Librarian of Southwell Minster]. Ms inscription on front free endpaper 'W.A. James 1 Fleet Street April 27th 1901 from G.A.O. Tomlin' [to William Ashton James from George Archibald Ottiwell Tomlin (1881-1966); both men were bank clerks living at 1 Fleet Street (Tellson's Bank) in 1901 census].
