Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (dated 1922) with portrait: "Edith Helen Marchioness of Londonderry. D.B.E." [i.e. Edith Helen Chaplin, m. in 1899 Charles 7th Marquess of Londonderry]. Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Binding: Twentieth-century full mottled polished calf, gilt-tooled on spine, green leather spine label lettered in gilt. Gilt armorial stamp displaying Vane-Tempest-Stewart marshalled with Chaplin under a marquess coronet with charges and motto (Metuenda corolla draconis). Gilt-top. Bookbinder's ticket: W.
