2v.,plates : ill., music ; 8vo (22cm). With a piece of blue book wrapper laid in v.I and a portion of a Mount Stewart weather report card on which has been written "A Bard Sir James Barrie". Photograph (cut from magazine?) of a clarsech or Irish harp with manuscript notes below. Vol. II has a picture of Patrick Qui laid in at p. 392 with a manuscript note: "the famous blind harper of Portadown". Provenance: Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate in Vol.I, lettered: Edward G. Bell. Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (dated 1922) with portrait: "Edith Helen Marchioness of Londonderry. D.B.E." [i.e. Edith Helen Chaplin, m. in 1899 Charles 7th Marquess of Londonderry]. Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Binding: Nineteenth-century full calf binding, rebacked; marbled endpapers and edges. Water-damaged.
