Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Gilt armorial stamp displaying Vane-Tempest-Stewart marshalled with Chaplin under a marquess coronet with charges and motto (Metuenda corolla draconis). Binding: Twentieth-century full polished calf binding; gold-tooled armorial stamp on upper cover; gilt-top. Green and black leather spine labels, lettered in gilt. Binder's endpapers watermarked: St. Winifred. Laid paper with deckle edges.
